To better protect your rights, we have updated the EforLink Privacy Policy. The main updates in this version focus on:
1. Updates to the descriptions related to EforLink Accounts;
2. Updates to Section 3.2 "Retention Policy" regarding global operations and controls;
3. Updates to the permission call descriptions;
4. Updates to the contact email address.
Introduction
Welcome to use "EforLink" software and related services!
Eforthink Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates (hereinafter referred to as "Eforthink" or "we") fully understand the importance of personal information to you and will make every effort to protect the security of your personal information. To protect your relevant rights, the "EforLink Privacy Policy" (hereinafter referred to as "these Guidelines") will explain how Eforthink collects, uses and stores your personal information and what rights you have. We will elaborate on relevant matters through"Summary of EforLink Privacy Policy" and these Guidelines. However, these Guidelines may not cover all possible data processing scenarios. We will strictly comply with legal requirements and seek your separate consent in specific cases. In addition to these Guidelines, we may also inform you of our personal information processing rules through product page notifications, pop-up prompts, information push, etc. The personal information processing for specific business functions shall be subject to specific rules, which shall have the same effect as these Guidelines.
These Guidelines apply to Eforthink websites and products/services that display these Guidelines or link to these Guidelines, but do not apply to any third-party products or services (collectively referred to as "Third-party Services"). If Third-party Services have separate privacy policies, those policies shall prevail.
Please read, understand and agree to these Guidelines and relevant supplementary documents before using this software and related services. For ease of understanding, these Guidelines are written in both Chinese and English, but the specific terms shall be governed by the Chinese version.

1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
1.1 Situations Requiring Your Authorization
Personal information refers to various information recorded electronically or otherwise related to identified or identifiable natural persons, excluding anonymized information.
Eforthink will only collect and use your personal information listed below for the purpose of providing you with products and/or services based on your authorization and consent, and we ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and other normative documents. If we intend to use your personal information for purposes not stated in this policy, or use information collected for specific purposes for other purposes, we will seek your consent in advance. You have the right to choose whether to provide such information, but in most cases, if you do not provide it, we may not be able to provide you with corresponding services or respond to problems you encounter. These functions include:
(1) Smart Device Connection, Activation and Binding
EforLink services enable you to securely connect and manage related hardware devices provided by Eforthink (hereinafter referred to as "Smart Devices"). When you connect Smart Devices, we may collect your login account information, mobile phone related information, IP address, Smart Device related information, and association information between your EforLink Account and Smart Devices. This information will be used to provide you with Smart Device connection, nearby device discovery, and device binding and management functions. The above information is listed in detail below:
- Login account information: EforLink Account, nickname, and avatar information;
- Mobile phone related information: Mobile phone brand, model, system version information, device name, system language, country or region set on the mobile phone, mobile phone screen size and resolution, CPU and display device related information;
- Your Bluetooth information: Current Bluetooth status of the mobile phone, Bluetooth ID (UUID);
- Your nearby interaction information: Current nearby interaction status of iPhone;
- Smart Device related information: Device name, device ID (UID), device model, SN number, firmware version, hardware version, Bluetooth ID (UUID), and binding relationship between the device and account.
(2) Device Control
You can control and use Smart Devices through EforLink, and indirectly control computers or other information terminals and related devices (hereinafter referred to as "Devices") through Smart Devices. You can query device status and control devices through this software. To achieve the above functions, we will collect the following information:
- Your network information: Current network connection method of mobile phone and computer (cellular network or Wi-Fi), assigned IP address;
- Device network connection status: Including network connection status of mobile phone and computer to display different operation interfaces according to the network connection status;
- Your nearby interaction information: Current nearby interaction status of iPhone, device relative position (including relative distance/direction);
- Device working status information (including connection status, functional status, operation status, power status, lock/unlock status) information, function setting information: To enable you to view device status and achieve device control;
- Information generated by using devices, including device accessories and consumables information, other information automatically collected by devices or actively uploaded by users when using corresponding functions;
- If you enable the computer screen unlocking related function, we also need to collect computer account name and password: To enable you to automatically unlock the computer through EforLink.
1.2 Optional Authorization Situations
To enable you to better enjoy the control and management of Smart Devices provided by EforLink, we may collect and use your personal information in the following additional functions. If you do not provide this personal information, you can still use the basic services of EforLink, but you may not be able to use these additional functions that can bring you convenience. Additional functions may vary depending on the application version, and the actual supported functions and services shall be subject to the content provided by the current application version. These additional functions include:
(1) Application and Firmware Updates
To enable you to continuously enjoy the latest EforLink and Smart Device services, when you check application and device update status in the application, we may use your EforLink application version information and mobile phone model to provide you with EforLink application update services. At the same time, we may collect your connected Smart Device list, device name, device model, product serial number, firmware version, hardware version, and software system version data to provide you with Smart Device update functions to ensure that you can use the latest version of services (including firmware version).
(2) Message Notifications
To ensure that you can obtain device status in a timely manner, we may collect device status information and push notifications within the application to remind you to pay attention to device status in a timely manner. If you enable the notification push function, your push messages in the application will be synchronized to your mobile phone. Please rest assured that we will not read your notification messages. Your notification messages will only be used for display on your mobile phone, and we will not save your notification messages. You can manage the synchronization push settings in the application.
(3) User Feedback
If you have any questions during the use of EforLink, you can contact us through "Profile > About EforLink > Feedback" to provide feedback. We will collect the feedback information you actively input. If you encounter device failures or abnormalities during the use of Smart Devices, you can also provide feedback on device problems through the above channel.
(4) Beta Testing Activities
To provide you with a good user experience, EforLink provides beta testing activities. You can choose whether to participate in these activities. When you choose to participate in activities and submit a trial application, we need to collect the information you actively input, including but not limited to your mobile phone number and mailing address, test reports and other information, to verify registration qualifications, contact you when you obtain testing qualifications, conduct follow-ups on your testing experience, and mail trial products to you. Please rest assured that your mobile phone number and address information will only be used for the above purposes and will not be used for other processing purposes. In addition, after you obtain testing qualifications, trial products may be sent directly by manufacturers. For this purpose, we need to provide manufacturers with your mobile phone number and mailing address. If we share your personal information with manufacturers, we will take encryption and other measures to ensure the security of your information. At the same time, we will sign strict data processing agreements with them, requiring third parties to take sufficient protection measures for your information and strictly comply with relevant laws, regulations and regulatory requirements.
(5) Smart Device Sharing
We support sharing Smart Devices with others through family services so that the shared users can also control the Smart Devices. To implement this function, you need to create a family, add the Smart Device to be shared, and invite members, and the invited members must also have EforLink Accounts. We may collect your EforLink Account information, the EforLink Account information of invited members provided by you, and information about the shared Smart Device (device ID, device name, etc.) to provide you with the function of sharing Smart Devices with other EforLink Account users for joint control and use.
1.3 EforLink Permission Call Instructions
In addition, the following device permissions may be triggered during your use of EforLink. To enable you to better manage your information, we will inform you of the purpose of using the permission and the impact on your use of services if you do not enable the permission when applying for permissions during product use. Please read carefully. Before using specific functions, you can choose whether to authorize the following permissions. At the same time, you can change authorization status at any time through the permission settings page of the device or the "Profile > About EforLink > System Permission Management" page in the EforLink application.
The following are details of related functions and permission calls for your reference:
(1) Enable WLAN permission: Used to obtain device compatibility list, application and firmware updates;
(2) Bluetooth permission: Used for device connection and communication;
(3) Notifications permission: Used to push application notifications;
(4) Background App Refresh permission: Used to obtain device relative position (including relative distance/direction) in real time;
(5) Motion & Fitness permissions: Used to improve ranging performance and enhance product experience;
(6) Nearby Interaction permission: Used to detect whether the device's ultra-wideband (UWB) function is properly enabled and to implement close-range device interaction;
(7) Camera permission: Used to provide the in-app scan function. This permission temporarily calls the camera only when you use the scan function, and we will not shoot, store, or upload unrelated pictures or video information;

You are fully aware that in the following situations, we may collect and use personal information without your consent
(1) Related to the performance of legal obligations by the personal information controller;
(2) Directly related to national security and national defense security;
(3) Directly related to public safety, public health, and significant public interests;
(4) Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments;
(5) Necessary to protect the life, property, and other significant legitimate rights and interests of the personal information subject or other individuals, but difficult to obtain the consent of the individual;
(6) The personal information involved is voluntarily disclosed to the public by the personal information subject;
(7) Necessary for the conclusion and performance of contracts at the request of the personal information subject;
(8) Collected from legally publicly disclosed information, such as legal news reports, government information disclosure, and other channels;
(9) Necessary to maintain the safe and stable operation of the provided products or services, such as discovering and handling product or service failures;
(10) The personal information controller is a news organization, and necessary for lawful news reporting;

The personal information controller is an academic research institution, necessary for statistical or academic research conducted in the public interest, and when providing academic research or descriptive results to the public, the personal information contained in the results is de-identified.
1.5 Non-Personal Information
We may also collect other information that cannot identify specific individuals (i.e., information that does not constitute personal information), such as statistical data generated when you use specific services, including user operation behaviors (such as clicks, page jumps, browsing time). The purpose of collecting such information is to improve the services we provide to you. The type and quantity of information collected depend on how you use our products and/or services. We will aggregate such information to help us provide more useful information to customers and understand which parts of our products and services are of most interest to customers. For the purpose of these Guidelines, aggregated data is considered non-personal information. If we combine non-personal information with personal information, such information will be treated as personal information during the period of combination.
2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies
EforLink and third-party service providers use technologies such as cookies, tags, and scripts to analyze trends, manage websites, track users' website activities, and collect statistical information about the user population. We will receive individual or aggregated analysis reports collected through the above technologies. These technologies help us better understand your behavior, understand which parts of our website users browse, measure the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches, and make improvements. We consider the information collected through cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. However, if local laws regard Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or similar identification marks as personal information, we will also treat such identification marks as personal information.

Log files: Like most websites, we collect specific information and store it in log files. Such information may include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, Internet Service Providers (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating systems, date/time stamps, and/or clickstream data. We do not associate automatically collected log data with other information we collect;

Mobile analytics: In certain mobile applications, we use mobile analytics software to better understand how our mobile software functions on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and the location where application crashes occur. We do not link the information stored in the analytics software to any personal information you submit within the mobile application;
- Local Storage - HTML5/Flash: We use Local Storage Objects (LSOs) such as HTML5 or Flash to store content and preferences. Depending on your web browsing behavior, third parties that cooperate with us to provide certain functions or display advertisements on websites may also collect and store relevant information through HTML5 or Flash cookies. Various browsers provide their own management tools to delete HTML5 local storage objects. 3. How We Store and Protect Your Personal Information
3.1 Security Measures
We are committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. To prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or other similar risks, we have implemented all legally required physical, electronic, and managerial measures and processes to protect the information we collect. We will ensure the protection of your personal information in accordance with applicable laws.
All your personal information is stored on secure servers and protected in controlled facilities. We classify your information based on its importance and sensitivity to ensure that your personal information has an appropriate level of security. Similarly, we have implemented specialized access control measures for cloud-based data storage. We regularly review our information collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical security measures, to prevent any unauthorized access and use.
We conduct due diligence on third-party service providers and business partners to ensure they can protect your personal information. We also implement appropriate contractual restrictions and, when necessary, conduct audits and evaluations to verify whether third parties have adopted appropriate security standards. Additionally, we ensure that employees and third-party service providers and business partners who access this information to help provide products or services to you comply with strict contractual confidentiality obligations.
We conduct security and privacy protection training courses and tests to strengthen our employees' awareness of the importance of protecting personal information. We will take all feasible and legally required measures to protect your personal information. However, you should be aware that the use of the internet is not always secure, so we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal information during two-way transmission over the internet.
We will handle personal information breaches in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and, when necessary, promptly notify relevant regulatory authorities and data subjects about the data breach incident.
3.2 Retention Policy
At present, Eforthink has data centers in China and Germany. Based on the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, your information may be transferred to these data centers in accordance with applicable laws. The jurisdictions where these global facilities are located may not protect personal information under the same standards as the jurisdiction where you are located, and different data protection laws may involve different risks. However, we will always comply with this Privacy Policy and our commitment to protect your personal information.
In particular,
- Personal information collected and generated during our operations within the People's Republic of China will be processed and stored in data centers in China, except where cross-border transfer is permitted under applicable laws;
- Personal information collected and generated during our operations outside the People's Republic of China will be processed and stored in data centers in Germany, except where cross-border transfer is permitted under applicable laws.
We retain personal information for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of information collection as described in these Guidelines or to comply with applicable legal requirements. Personal information will be deleted or anonymized after the collection purpose is achieved, after we confirm your deletion or cancellation request, or after we terminate the corresponding product or service. If the information is retained for purposes of public interest, scientific research, historical research, or statistics, we will continue to retain the relevant data based on applicable laws, even if further data processing is unrelated to the original collection purpose. Additionally, in the following situations, we need to retain your personal information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations:
- According to the "E-Commerce Law of the People's Republic of China," your product and service information and transaction information must be retained for no less than three years from the date the transaction is completed.
4. Your Rights
4.1 Control Settings
We fully respect and understand each user's personalized privacy needs. You may use the following specific paths to restrict the collection, use, disclosure, or processing of personal information and independently manage your privacy settings:
- In the EforLink application, click Profile > About EforLink > System Permission Management to change permission authorization status;
- In the EforLink application, click Profile > About EforLink > Legal Information & Privacy Management > Withdraw Consent to the Privacy Policy to reject these Guidelines;
- In the EforLink application, click Profile > About EforLink > Legal Information & Privacy Management > User Experience Improvement Program to join or withdraw from the User Experience Improvement Program. If you do not want to participate in our User Experience Improvement Program, you can turn off the User Experience Improvement Program switch at any time;
- In the EforLink application, click Profile > Avatar Icon > Account Management to modify your personal information, including nickname and avatar;
- Log in to or log out of your EforLink Account.
4.2 Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Information
According to the laws and regulations applicable in your country or region, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you (hereinafter referred to as a "Request").
For more details about personal information in your EforLink Account, you can log in to your account on your device to access and modify it. If you wish to exercise other personal information related rights, please contact us at service@eforthink.com.
Most legal requirements stipulate that requests made by personal information subjects should meet specific requirements. These Guidelines require that your Request should meet the following conditions:
- Made through our dedicated request channels, and for the purpose of protecting your information security, your Request should be in writing (unless local laws explicitly recognize oral applications);
- Provide sufficient information to allow us to verify your identity, ensuring that the requester is the subject of the requested information or their legally authorized representative;
Once we have sufficient information to process your Request, we will respond to your Request within the time frame specified by applicable data protection laws. Specifically:
- Based on your request and applicable laws, we can provide a copy of the personal information we have collected and processed about you free of charge. If you make additional requests for related information, we may charge a reasonable fee based on applicable laws and actual administrative costs;
- If you believe that any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, you may request correction or completion of personal information based on the purpose of use;

According to applicable laws and regulations, you may have the right to request us to delete your personal data. We will evaluate your deletion request and, if it meets the relevant requirements, take appropriate steps, including technical measures, to process it. After you or we assist you in deleting the relevant information, due to applicable laws and security technologies, we may not be able to immediately delete the corresponding information from backup systems. We will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until the backup can be cleared or anonymized. For example: According to the "E-Commerce Law of the People's Republic of China," your product and service information and transaction information must be retained for no less than three years from the date the transaction is completed.
We reserve the right to refuse to process meaningless/repetitive requests, requests that infringe on others' privacy rights, extremely unrealistic requests, requests that require disproportionate technical work, and requests that do not need to be granted under local laws, as well as information that has been made public or provided under confidentiality conditions. If we believe that certain aspects of a request to delete data or access data may prevent us from legally using the data for the aforementioned anti-fraud and security purposes, we may also refuse such requests.
4.3 Withdrawal of Consent
You can withdraw your consent by submitting a request, including the collection, use, and/or disclosure of your personal information that we possess or control. Depending on the specific services you use, you can do this in the application by going to Profile > About EforLink > Legal Information & Privacy Management > Withdraw Privacy Policy Consent, or you can contact us at service@eforthink.com to perform related operations. We will process your request within five days after you make it, and based on your request, we will no longer collect, use, and/or disclose your personal information thereafter.
Please note that withdrawing your consent may lead to certain legal consequences. Depending on the scope of information processing you have authorized us to perform, this may result in you being unable to enjoy Eforthink's products or services. However, your decision to withdraw consent or authorization will not affect previous personal information processing conducted based on your authorization.
4.4 Service or Account Cancellation
If you wish to cancel a specific product or service, you may contact us at service@eforthink.com to cancel the service. If you wish to cancel your EforLink Account, please proceed with caution, as cancellation of your EforLink Account will prevent you from using the full range of EforLink products and services. To protect your or others' legitimate rights and interests, we will determine whether to immediately support your cancellation request based on your use of EforLink products and services.
5. Protection of Minors' Information
We attach great importance to the protection of minors' personal information. Our products and services are mainly aimed at adults. If you have not reached the legal adult age in your region, you should read and agree to these Guidelines under the guidance and supervision of your parents or other guardians before using EforLink products and related services. If you are a parent or other guardian of a minor and believe that the minor has provided us with personal information without the consent of the parent or guardian, you can contact us at service@eforthink.com to ensure that such personal information is deleted immediately.
6. How We Share, Transfer, and Disclose Your Personal Information
To ensure the security of your personal information, we adhere to the principle of minimization and share, transfer, or disclose your personal information in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
(1) Sharing
To ensure the stable operation of our services and the realization of functions, and to enable you to enjoy and use more services and functions, our products/services may integrate SDKs or similar applications from third-party service providers. For this purpose, we need to provide your partial personal information to third-party service providers. Click to view the situations in which we share your personal information with affiliates, partners, and third parties. If we share your personal information with these third parties, we will take encryption and other measures to ensure the security of your information. For companies and organizations with which we share personal information, we will conduct reasonable reviews of their data security environment and sign strict data processing agreements with them, requiring third parties to take sufficient measures to protect your information and strictly comply with relevant laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements.
(2) Transfer
We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual, except in the following cases:
- Transfer with explicit consent: After obtaining your explicit consent, we will transfer your personal information to other parties;
- In the event of mergers, divisions, dissolution, or bankruptcy declaration, if personal information transfer is involved, we will promptly inform you of the name and contact information of the recipient, and require the recipient to continue to be bound by this privacy policy. Such privacy policy changes will take effect from the date specified in the notice or on the website. Your continued use of the products and website, services on mobile phones, and/or any other devices will be deemed as acceptance of the updated privacy policy. When we collect more personal information from you or use or disclose your personal information for new purposes, we will seek your consent again.

Generally, we will respond within fifteen working days. If your question involves significant matters, we may request additional information from you. If you are not satisfied with the response received, especially if our personal information processing actions have harmed your legitimate rights and interests, you may file a lawsuit with the competent court in the defendant's jurisdiction.
